Exhibition Stand Builder Cologne

Exhibition Stands Cologne.

From gamescom to Anuga: few venues switch as quickly between consumer crowds and focused trade audiences as the one in Deutz. Your stand decides which of the two it is built for. We plan, build and install it entirely ourselves and drive the 200 kilometres to the Rhine via the A3.

Your partner for exhibition stands at Koelnmesse

Eleven halls with 284,000 square metres of hall space and 100,000 square metres outdoors, around 400,000 square metres in total: that puts the Cologne site among the largest in the world. It lies on the right bank in Deutz, directly on the river and opposite the old town. Köln Messe/Deutz station with its high-speed rail stop adjoins the grounds, which turns the journey into a matter of minutes for visitors from across Europe.

For stand construction, the range of the Cologne fairs is what counts. gamescom moves hundreds of thousands of people through the halls, where only robust surfaces, protected edges and generous waiting zones hold up. Anuga, IDS and interzum, by contrast, bring trade audiences with concrete procurement projects, where meeting areas, sample presentation and acoustics matter. We settle that question before the first draft, because it shapes the entire layout.

Cologne is around 200 kilometres from the Rhine-Main region via the A3, the shortest run among our nationwide locations. That short run opens up an advantage of its own: material can follow within a day. If a counter shows marks after three consumer days, or if more brochure stands are needed at short notice, the replacement sets off the same day. The stand itself arrives prefabricated and trial-assembled from our workshop, as everywhere.

Cologne asks two different things of an exhibition stand builder. At gamescom a consumer crowd moves through the halls, and visibility from a distance wins. At Anuga, IDS and interzum, trade visitors arrive with concrete projects, and quiet for conversation wins. We lay out your space around that goal and handle the build end to end, from our own workshop through delivery from the Köln-Ost junction to assembly.

Our exhibition stand services in Cologne

Concept & design

We develop the stand idea, spatial layout and 3D visualisation to suit your target hall in Cologne. Whether consumer flow or trade conversation, the layout follows your audience.

At a consumer fair we plan in waiting space; at a trade fair, sheltered zones for longer meetings.

Stand construction

Your stand is built entirely in our workshop, where CNC technology, joinery and paint shop work hand in hand. Every element is checked and trial-assembled before loading.

For heavily frequented Cologne fairs we choose surfaces that still look good on the fifth day.

Graphics & print

Large-format printing, backlit logos and clear wayfinding graphics draw visitors along Cologne's long hall axes to your stand.

We produce with colour accuracy in house and install to millimetre fit, so your message works from a distance.

Rental furniture & technology

Counters, seating, media technology and lighting are selected to match the concept and delivered to Cologne together with the stand.

One delivery, one team, everything connected and function-tested before the first visitor enters the hall.

Logistics & transport

With our own fleet we drive your stand via the A3 straight to the grounds, timed to your set-up window.

The 200 kilometres are a day trip. That keeps transport costs manageable and makes short-notice resupply possible during the fair.

Installation & dismantling

Set-up and dismantling are handled by our own crew, aligned with the build times at Koelnmesse.

They know every component from production and hand over your stand checked, clean and ahead of opening. Spare parts for the usual wear points travel with us as a matter of course.

Storage

After the fair your stand elements move into our digitised warehouse in the Rhine-Main region.

Every part is recorded and maintained, so your stand is ready again quickly for the next edition in Cologne or another location. That lowers costs and saves resources.

On-site support

Throughout the fair you have one dedicated contact who has known your project from the start.

For Cologne dates a fitter stays on site until opening, and thanks to the short run, extra hands arrive quickly.

03 — Build type

Rent an exhibition stand or build a custom one

Cologne runs industries from confectionery through dental to games right around the year, and many exhibitors appear here alongside a second fair in another city. That is exactly when a modular build pays off: with Aluvision systems we create appearances that can be reused, with fresh graphics and an adjusted footprint. If your brand is to stand out to the fullest, we plan a custom stand tailored precisely to you.

  • Rent: modular, reusable, predictable costs, including set-up and dismantling in Cologne.
  • Build custom: full design freedom, maximum brand impact, special constructions up to double-deck.
04 — Leading fairs

Exhibition stands for Cologne's leading trade fairs

Cologne's calendar is one of the fullest in Germany and covers industries that sit far apart: food, dental, fitness, furniture supply, games, digital marketing, office interiors. For stand construction that means reading each of these fairs by its own rules. These dates are currently in the calendar:

05 — Exhibition grounds

Key facts about Koelnmesse

The site sits in the middle of the city on the Rhine, with a mainline station right at the entrance. Ideal for visitors, and for build traffic it means fixed time slots and orderly access routes. We align delivery with that early on. These figures give you a reliable basis for planning your stand in Cologne:

Halls
11 exhibition halls, plus two congress centres
Area
284,000 m² of hall space, plus 100,000 m² outdoors
Total
around 400,000 m², one of the largest fairgrounds in the world
Location
right bank in Deutz, mainline station at the grounds
Journey
around 200 km from Offenbach via the A3, then the B55 city motorway from the Köln-Ost interchange
Set-up
own fleet, day trip, resupply possible at short notice
06 — Costs

What does an exhibition stand in Cologne cost?

The price depends on stand size, build type, technology and graphics. A modular rental stand sits below a custom brand appearance with special construction. On transport, Cologne comes out lower than the more distant venues, because the 200 kilometres can be covered in a day. We itemise transport and set-up separately in the quote. You can see exactly which share goes to the stand and which to the logistics.

07 — Process

How your exhibition stand project in Cologne runs

Consultation

In the first conversation we clarify goals, budget, stand area and your Cologne fair date. That includes whether you expect trade visitors or consumers, because nearly every further decision follows from it.

We recommend a realistic schedule; a few months of lead time give you the widest choice of space, material and design.

Design

Our designers translate your goals into a stand concept with 3D visualisation, drawn to scale for your hall.

You see materials, colours and sightlines in advance and give feedback until the design is right. In parallel we prepare structural calculations and registrations with Koelnmesse.

Production

Your stand is built in our workshop and fully trial-assembled there. Only once everything fits does it go on the truck.

For consumer fairs we also set aside spare parts for heavily used edges and surfaces.

Set-up

We deliver with our own fleet, aligned with the Koelnmesse time slot.

The crew builds the stand and checks technology, lighting and graphics before we hand it over to you.

Support & dismantling

Throughout the fair we stay reachable and handle small adjustments directly. If resupply is needed, the short run means it is on the road the same day.

After the final day we dismantle, load and bring your stand elements back to the warehouse, where they are prepared for the next appearance.

08 — Trust

Brands we look after across Germany

From Bosch through Steiner Optik to Kiepenkerl and Sperli: these brands have had us deliver their trade fair appearances for years, at locations all over Germany and across many industries. Repeat business grows out of reliable work, from the first draft to dismantling. Our references from stand construction and event design show what that means in practice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about exhibition stands in Cologne

The decisive factors are stand size, build type, technology and graphics. A modular rental stand starts in the low four-figure range; a custom brand appearance costs more. Cologne is around 200 kilometres from our workshop, the shortest run of our nationwide locations, which keeps the transport share moderate. We itemise transport and set-up separately in the quote.
Yes. We manufacture in our own workshop in the Rhine-Main region and deliver to Cologne with our own fleet via the A3. The 200 kilometres are a day trip, so material can follow at short notice during the fair, which is a real advantage for consumer fairs where wear shows quickly.
Particularly relevant for stand construction are gamescom, Anuga, IDS and interzum, joined by ISM, FIBO, dmexco, spoga+gafa, Kind + Jugend, ORGATEC, Zukunft Personal Europe and the VdS-BrandSchutzTage. We plan and build your appearance for all of these fairs.
gamescom brings hundreds of thousands of visitors through the halls, so surfaces, edges and floors have to take that load, and queuing space belongs in the layout. Anuga, IDS and interzum host trade audiences arriving with concrete projects, so meeting areas, sample presentation and acoustics count. Cologne hosts both formats, which is why we settle the audience question before the first draft.
For a custom Cologne stand, ideally plan three to six months ahead so that design, production and the delivery slot line up. Because the site sits in the city with rail access, build traffic is closely scheduled. Shorter-notice requests are covered by our own workshop and fleet.
Yes. Rental stands based on Aluvision are also available for Koelnmesse, including individual graphics and equipment. This is particularly worthwhile if Cologne sits in your calendar alongside a second or third fair each year.
They first ask who will be standing in front of your booth. At gamescom a stream of consumers moves through the halls; at Anuga and interzum, trade visitors arrive with concrete projects. Each calls for a different layout: visibility from a distance in one case, quiet for conversation in the other. An exhibition stand builder who draws that distinction plans your space around your goal. We deliver via the B55 from the Köln-Ost junction.
