For FBB St. Louis we transformed a 35 m² pop-up space in the KaDeWe Berlin into a mystical enchanted forest, an atmospheric world of experience that makes the real department store surroundings disappear completely.
A dream world in the middle of the department store
At the KaDeWe, one of the most famous department stores in Europe, FBB St. Louis was to receive an extraordinary staging that lifts visitors completely out of their everyday lives. The brief: a pop-up space that looks less like a sales stand and more like a magical world of experience, charging the brand with emotion.
Real moss, bark cylinders and chandeliers
As an invisible base we used a fully clad truss structure on which the atmospheric world of experience was built. Within the pop-up space an enchanted forest emerged in which the real department store surroundings vanished entirely. The floor was lined with real moss and ferns, while massive bark cylinders clad the trusses and created the impression of genuine tree trunks.
High-quality chandeliers, artfully mounted on the concealed structure, provided a magical play of light that further intensified the mystical atmosphere. A unique interplay of nature, light and spatial design turned the temporary installation into a fascinating dream world.
