For the two horticulture brands Kiepenkerl and Sperli we built a 143 m² island stand at IPM in Essen, designed as a walk-in brand world with a distinctive retail character.
Uniting two brands on one space
Kiepenkerl and Sperli were to appear together at IPM, the world's leading trade fair for horticulture, without losing their individual brand identities. The challenge lay in the multitude of product sizes, formats and decoration requirements, which demanded a flexible yet coherent presentation, and in a strong retail character that encourages buying.
A walk-in brand world with a modular system
We designed the shared island space as a walk-in brand world that visitors can immerse themselves in. At its heart is a well-conceived, modular product presentation that adapts flexibly to different product sizes and decoration requirements. We engineered and produced the presentation systems developed for it ourselves.
Numerous decorative elements gave the stand the desired retail character and created an inspiring atmosphere that encourages sales. For all the focus on looks, efficient logistics and universal reusability remained the guiding principles, so the systems can also be used in sales and presentation settings away from the trade fair.
Inspiration that motivates buying
The result is a richly detailed, visually appealing brand world that presents both brands confidently side by side. The distinctive retail character made the stand a place where trade visitors discover varieties and find inspiration, flexible, sustainable and reusable.
